When it is summertime, it is time for soothing cold drinks as they are highly refreshing; it is a good idea to try vegetables based blender drinks. For making excellent smoothies the fresh vegetables and fruits of the season like Spinach, cabbage, carrots, apples, frozen banana, mango or black cherries can be used. ?The available vegetables can also be used for making easy handy snack. Roasting vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, beets, corn, and peas on the grill you can have some excellent dish without additional calories.


The yummy fruits like mango, peaches, berries, melon, plums, cherries and grapes can be added to frozen yogurt, soy or regular milk to create delicious smoothies which are not expensive and at the same time a refreshing food for summer months. Add the diced fresh fruits to your salad and make it special.


It is important to include fiber, vitamins and minerals in the diet and therefore, eating spinach, arugula, chard and kale is a good idea. Rather than deep fry, it is wise to go for stir fry, grilled or salad, whatever you like.


Summer months are tough and our body loses a lot of energy due to excessive heat during this period. Therefore, it is all the more important to keep the body cool and refreshed. Avoiding oily and high calorie junk diet during this period and opting for something cool, refreshing and energy giving food we can stay well and avoid feeling sick and tired.
